Welcome to the Sea Trail Grandmas Blog! Bienvenue au blog de Sea Trail Grandmas!

We would like to welcome all current and new volunteers 
as well as anybody interested in our community service, 
to Sea Trail Grandmas blog. 
Since 2008 we have knitted, crocheted and sewn clothes for:
premature and newborn babies, children and adult chemo hats 
and Teddy Bears (used in surgery and emergency rooms). 
If you are interested, to knit and sew for your local hospital 
or your personal used, you can use our patterns (see page on right).

NHBMC, SAM PARENT THANK YOU NOTE!


Last year, on September 2016
Sea Trail Grandmas volunteer
Sam, 11 years old,
made and gave 3 Teddy Bears for
Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.

This year, on October 12, 2017 
he received this 
NICE THANK YOU NOTE!

Thank you so very much for making the bear. My son Mack had to have surgery this morning and when we got to the room, your bear was on the bed waiting for us. 

Mack really appreciates you helping make his hospital stay a little better by having the bear (Cutie is his name, lol) to hold onto during his surgery.

Thank you to all 27 Sea Trail Grandmas volunteers
who worked 2,237 hours
to sew and knit 1,105 beautiful items.

at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 
Wilmington, NC
on October 15th, 2017
Vincent at 7 years old  
is our youngest volunteer!

Vincent sewed 5 receiving blanket
and 12 coddler sheet with the serger, for a total 
of 7 hours volunteer work!
Penelope 9 years old!
 
Penelope sewed 20 receiving blanket
and 52 coddler sheet with the serger,
for a total of 23 hours of volunteer work!
